Position Summary:

Under general supervision, ensures compliance with internal controls, operational procedures and established risk management policies, procedures and regulations. Performs a broad variety of member service functions such as opening new share and share draft accounts, IRA's, etc. Performs all teller functions as required. Opens, maintains and redeems CD's. Understands the features and benefits of credit union products and services. Conducts the transactions on member accounts accurately. Performs power of attorney and trust transactions, beneficiary claims . Is accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all member transactions and is recorded and entered accurately within all internal systems; Symitar, Evolve, Data Navigator, etc. Provides instant issue debit cards and reconciles debit cards under dual control. Troubleshoots ATM, credit and debit card products. Processes both fraud and disputed transactions. Interprets credit reports to qualify potential members and cross-sell products and services. Accurately processes wire transfer requests. Conducts consumer loan interviews, reviews documentation, processes consumer loans. Is accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all assigned loan files. Ensures that loans are recorded and entered accurately into the core operating system. Apply the proper telephone etiquette to satisfy various member situations, Follow appropriate call/work flow to meet quality expectations on all member interactions Provides members with professional service and assures that all members, staff and visitors are treated with consideration and respect.

Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities

25% Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; provides money orders, travelers checks, and cash advances. Processes coin machine transactions, ATM and mail transactions.

25% Assists members and potential members with credit union products and services. Resolves issues that are within their authority; refers issues that are beyond their authority to their manager.

25% Completes interviews of loan applicants, processes loan applications, and underwrites loans within Level 1 authority.

10% Cross-sells USF FCU products and services to meet member needs. Proficient in using Account Cross Sell and SalesVision.

5% May be required to cross train and work in other areas or departments.

5% Responsible for cash ordering and balancing of the vault (or cash room safe) and cash recycler.

5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Education:
• High School Diploma or education equivalent to High School Diploma

Experience:
• Two (2) years of experience in financial institution with lending and member service experience.

Other Skills:
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to the position.
• Ability to effectively deal with people under adverse and stressful conditions.
• Must be a Notary or be able to become one upon employment.
• Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
