Position Summary

The Digital and Database Marketing Analyst is a key member of the Marketing department; contributing to the strategy, targeting, execution, analysis and optimization of multi-faceted marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing data from the marketing database, digital analytics and primary/secondary research in order to derive compelling insights to enhance our marketing initiatives, campaign performance and the customer experience across our digital properties.


Essential Functions



40%     Manage and interpret member data using business intelligence systems, including the MCIF (Marketing Customer Information File), account/loan origination system and digital banking platform. Identify opportunities for product/service development and strategies to acquire, retain and cultivate profitable member relationships. Perform account/member-level data analysis; research profitable member segments and develop monthly and ad-hoc reports across the enterprise to support member loyalty, retention and cross-sell strategies.

20%     Manage segmentation, targeting and campaign/outbound lists. Track and produce campaign performance reports, provide ROI analysis and strategic recommendations on how to improve performance.


20%     Design and manage digital analytics, including dashboard reports, tracking codes, event and conversion goals, open and CTRs. Evaluate digital experience and sales funnel across multiple touch points, guide enhancements to journey through a/b testing, click streamlining and landing page optimization recommendations.


15%     Execute and optimize Search Engine Marketing strategy for websites, to include SEO, CPC/CPM bidding, paid Social and remarketing strategies.


 5%      Other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Intelligence or related field required.
  • Google Adwords and Google Analytics Certification preferred.




  • Three to five years of experience with marketing database management and digital analytics.
  • Experience with online marketing, PPC, retargeting, social media and SEO.
  • Familiarity with Net Promoter Score, Customer Effort Score and other loyalty metrics.
  • Experience working with financial products in a credit union or other financial institution is desirable.
  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

Other Skills:

  •  Expertise in MS Office including advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Excellent spoken, written and visual communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills with ability to translate data into creative strategy
