Position Summary:


Under general supervision, responsible for servicing all aspects of debit and credit cards. Possess a thorough knowledge and compliance with credit union policies and procedures as well as regulations impacting cards. Researches and processes fraud claims and credit report disputes. Resolve and respond to help desk ticket requests in a timely manner as deemed appropriate by leadership. Assists management with reports.  Retrieves and processes incoming mail.


Maintains a positive attitude and conducts business in a professional manner while abiding by the credit union core values. Assures that all members, employees and visitors are treated with consideration and respect.




Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities


35%   Performs a variety of duties, specializing in the maintenance of debit/credit card operations. Supports frontline employees by answering and resolving member inquiries through calls, emails and helpdesk ticket requests.

20%    Investigates member card fraud claims received from all channels.  Processes provisional credit where applicable.  Ensures member response in accordance with timelines provided by Regulation E and Visa.

15%    Retrieves and researches credit report disputes through e-Oscar as well as direct disputes submitted by members either through email, mail or helpdesk tickets from staff.  Processes adjustments to credit reporting as necessary and provides appropriate responses to the member or staff.

15%    Reviews daily and monthly reports and takes appropriate action governed by procedures assigned to each specific report.

5%     Process incoming mail, including returned debit/credit card mail daily.

5%     Adheres to established department standards while maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent service to members and co-workers.

5%   Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.




  • 1-3 years of lending or related experience in a financial institution required; at least one-year experience in ATM/Credit/Debit processing preferred.



Other Skills:


  • Must have good computer skills and understands basic operating systems, including all Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to the position.
  • Ability to effectively deal with people under adverse and stressful conditions.
  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: CARD Act, U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
