Position Summary:

 

Under general supervision, the Records Support Specialist will be responsible for keeping all records confidential and complying with the credit union privacy policies, procedures and regulations. The Records Support Specialist receives, processes imports, maintains, and retrieves all records including daily mail and conducts research. Works independently to maintain the credit union records and support all credit union staff.

 

 

Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities

 

20%   Performs all duties of the Records Support Specialist.

 

20%   Maintains accurate, complete and timely process of the Indirect Loans Booked Report. Separate documents into appropriate types, validating metadata, and assigning to them into templates (document-type paths), ensuring easy retrieval and of high quality

 

15% Import electronic documents received from other employees into the archive system ensuring work is complete, accurate and of high quality.

 

10%   Assist with the completion of subpoena request, including BSA. Report and testify in court if needed.

          

10%   Prepare, scan and index new incoming mortgage files. Make room in the vault for new files.

 

10%   Scan, verify and index Satisfaction of Mortgages. Retrieve & Audit Mortgage files for paid- off loans and attached the Satisfaction to the file, input payoff date and file.

 

5%     Assist on transporting and delivering confidential documents on and off campus.

 

5%       Attends meetings, takes continuing education classes and training for personal development and Credit Union required courses

 

5%       Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Education:

 

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

 

 

Experience:

  • One to Three years (1-3) years of similar or related experience.

 

Other Skills:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
