Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities

 

30%   Talent Acquisition- Responsible for Full Cycle Recruiting by developing recruiting sources (social media, job boards, college recruiting, etc.), screening resumes, interviewing applicants, performing behavioral assessment, background checks, and extending offers and oversee New Employee Orientation (NEO) experience.  Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, and prepares managers for the interview process.  Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system.  Manage company budget in regards to recruiting.

20%   Employee Relations (ER)- Coach and counsel employees in the interpretation of Human Resource policies and procedures. Act as a trusted advisor for employee relations issues and handling investigations including terminations.  Stay abreast of Federal, State and local labor employment laws. Coordinate the annual performance evaluation process. Administer all FMLA and leave administration to ensure compliance.  Manage Workers compensation claims.  Address all unemployment claims and attend unemployment compensation hearings on the behalf of the Credit Union.  Manage the Safe Act process to ensure compliance with the Federal Government.

20%   Employee Engagement- Develop, coordinate, and manage employee and charity events and recognition programs.

15%   Benefits and Salary Administration- Manage Benefits Administration (health and wellness) process including annual open enrollment, billing reconciliation, and employee wellness program.  Administer the 401k Plan, monitoring changes, loans, distributions and rollovers.  Schedule Investment Advisory meetings maintaining accurate minute notes.  Monitor and coordinate short-term and long-term disability application and process.  Manage Cobra administration.  Manage Salary Administration and market analysis process in partnership with TA Manager.

10%   HR Reporting- Managing HRIS systems to support and maintain employee data.  Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and organization.  Tracks completion of annual employee acknowledgment forms to confirm compliance with Credit Union policies.  Perform other duties as assigned.

5%     Performs other job related duties as assigned.

  

Education:

  • PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree obtained through a formal 4-year program at an accredited educational facility preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years related experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices in Human Resource Administration, as well as Federal, State, and local labor laws is required.
